Theresa Shearlaw is a loving wife, a mother of two boys, a grandmother and vice-president and co-owner of Capital Printers Ltd., publishers of the Three Hills Capital. She was formerly employed by the Alberta Treasury Branch, but left to join her husband Tim in the newspaper business when he was named publisher of the Three Hills Capital in 1980.

Theresa focussed on computerizing the company accounting system and also worked in the newspaper’s production department. As the years went by she became the oepration’s manager.

Theresa and her husband Tim would purchase Capital Printers Ltd. in May of 1988 and own and operate it to this day. The couple’s oldest son, Jay, joined the company after high school graduation in 2000 and together with Theresa took the Three Hills Capital into the electronic age.

Aside from the newspaper business Theresa was an active property manager, Secretary of the Three Hills Kinette Club, an exective director of the Three Hills and District Chamber of Commerce and is presently the co-chair of the Three Hills and Area Food Bank.

The Three Hills Capital is celebrating 100 years in publishing this year.
