The AWNA depends on the leadership, direction, and support of its Executive Director and senior staff team in order to effectively carry out its programs and services.
Parameters
To ensure continuity in times of temporary absence and/or emergencies, the Executive Director and each senior staff will familiarize at least one other employee with current issues and processes. The Executive Director must also keep up-to-date documentation about current issues.
In an emergency, the President assumes the responsibility for establishing order in the AWNA office. This includes, in consultation with the Executive Committee, the appointment of an Acting Executive Director.
